This chemical is structurally related to benzodiazepines, so it provides a very specific research area for some experimenters. In fact, Etizolam is an analog of benzodiazepine, and it belongs to the thienobenzodiazepine family of chemicals. Etizolam was actually synthesized from benzodiazepines by replacing the phenyl ring with a thiophene ring.
Etizolam is sold under several brand names, including Depas, Pasaden, Sedkopan, Etizola, and Etilaam. So far researchers are still collecting data on the chemical’s effect, although early tests indicate that it does relax skeletal muscles and serve as an anticonvulsant. Other possible effects of this chemical include sedative, hypnotic, amnesic, and anxiolytic properties.
