2-MeO-Ketamine

This chemical is a fairly new one that’s available to researchers. 2-MeO-Ketamine is also known as 2-MK, methoxyketamine, 2-MeO-2-deschloroketamine, and 2-(2-Methoxyphenyl)-2-(methylamine)cyclohexanone. 2-MeO-Ketamine comes in a powder form.

This drug is an analog of ketamine, which is commonly used in veterinary medicine, mostly for general anesthesia. In this product, the atom of chlorine that’s found in ketamine has been replaced with an atom from the methoxy group. Many researchers have been able to synthesize this chemical by rearranging one of the amino ketones as well.

Many vendors have given up production of this product because of difficulties in producing it. Also the costs involved in the research and development of this chemical have increased greatly in a short amount of time, and some distributors are even saying that 2-MeO-Ketamine has brought about such disappointing results that they no longer plan to carry it. A few researchers have replaced this chemical with N-Ethyl-Ketamine, which is also known as N-E-K. Several sources say that N-E-K is far more promising in research than 2-Me-O-Ketamine. However, many other researchers have indicated that they are not yet ready to give up on this chemical because it is an analog of ketamine, which is such a useful chemical in the world of veterinary medicine.
